"SIPHON FLUSH" INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS




NOTE: "SIPHON FLUSH" replaces the Flush Valve in your toilet that consists of the overflow pipe and the flapper, it does NOT replace the Toilet Fill Valve.

1. Turn off the water supply to the toilet. Flush the toilet to empty the tank. Remove remaining water with a sponge.

2. Disconnect the water supply line at the bottom of the toilet tank Fill Valve.

3. Unbolt tank from bowl.

4. Lift off tank. Remove washers and nuts from bottom of tank, then remove old bolts. Remove old gasket.

5. Unscrew Flush Valve locknut. Remove old Flush Valve unit with flapper. Clean both the tank and the bowl openings if necessary.

6. Install the new "Siphon Flush" head in tank. Ensure that the hose nipple on bottom of Siphon Flush is positioned towards the fill valve. Place the plastic locknut on the bottom of the Siphon Flush and tighten one half turn beyond hand tight.

7. Slide sponge rubber gasket (small side down) onto threaded end of flush valve.

8. Securely connect the bowl fill hose to the top of the toilet fill valve.

9.a Disconnect and remove the existing handle assembly. Insert new "Siphon Flush" chrome handle through the toilet tank.
9.b Slide the ribbed arm over the adjustable arm.
9.c Tighten the ribbed arm so that it is parallel with the adjustable arm. Further adjustment will need to take place in step 14.
10. Carefully replace the tank on the toilet bowl so that the sponge rubber gasket seals evenly. Make sure the tank is level.

11. On each protruding bolt underneath the bowl lip, place a rubber washer, then a metal washer, and finally a nut. Tighten the nuts evenly and firmly. WARNING: Do not over tighten or the tank and/or bowl may crack.

12. Reconnect the water supply line at the bottom of the toilet tank fill valve.


13. Turn on the water supply to the toilet.

14. Allow the tank to fill until the water stops flowing. Allow the Siphon Flush head to float. Loosen the ribbed arm and adjust until the ribbed arm is as close to the floating head as possible without touching.
